A house in a valley, set alongside an existing 100-year-old barn.

The barn anchors the landscape, so the house stays simple and agrarian in form. At the same time, a tight program had to fit within a compact footprint.

Living extends outward through covered and open patios, doubling how the house is used and connecting it to the land.
